How to create a new page that is custom in Microsoft Word
Custom Paper allows the designer to select between different paper types. When designing a page, the specifications values are used to determine the quality and the type of paper. These values include the paper density and weight, thread count surface texture, fiber content, and surface texture. After the designer has selected the paper’s quality they can define the dimensions for each of the major areas: background and border text, background images, background text, and text.
The Layout and Visualization dialog box offers two options for custom paper size and weight. The [ Width Settingand [ Height Setting] sections control the size of the text. The [Output Size Setover] section controls the size of the output window is. The third section, known as the Advanced section includes options for advanced features like ‘auto layout’ and ‘auto formatting.’ The fourth section, the Default Allocations setting is where you can control various options for allocation, like whether to use default colors and themes, and whether or not to include printer-specific background and foreground colors.
To custom size the size of a document, first go to the General Settings tab, then click on the custom size button. The custom size button will appear as two lines at the bottom of the General Settings panel. To open the custom size tool, highlight it and then click on its icon. Click OK to enter a value for your personal size. To modify other sizes, visit the Add New Styles dialog box. Select the size you’d like to change. After you are done creating the page, click OK.
Click on the Change Themes button to change the default theme color. The page layout preview displays the current theme and is able to be modified. Click on the Select Style button to change the font color. Enter a new style name, click OK, and then click on the Change Theme button.
To print a PDF file from Microsoft Word, select the Print button and then choose the Save As option. The currently selected custom paper name will also be displayed in the Save As dialog box. To locate and select the location you’d like to save click the Browse button. A page number is now available in the location pop-up. The Browse button allows the user to browse all the files currently saved on the computer and choose the desired file. To open a PDF file, click on the Open button and enter the path for the document.
Certain older computers may not be compatible with the latest printer drivers. In these cases, the user may need to install the right driver prior to printing a document. To accomplish this, first make sure that the appropriate device driver is installed on the computer. Next download and install the printer Driver Software. Follow the instructions on screen to install the software. Then, utilize the driver software to updating the printer driver.
After the Print Driver Software is installed, the user must select custom paper sizes from the Print menu. There are four options available to the user: Courier, Arial and Glass Lettering. Use the buttons to change the size of your custom pages. Some useful tools are also available in the Print menu that allow users to select their own margins or sidebars. Once the customized pages are prepared, the user should hit the print button.
In the printer’s properties dialog box, you’ll see the new paper size. If writing papaer required the user wishes to modify the settings of the printer. To save changes, simply click on the Save tab and then click on the OK button.
